SERVICE REQUEST

If you have a service request or maintenance question please refer to your online homeowner portal, located at homeinformationpackages.com. This portal contains warranty and maintenance information, as well as provides an option to submit a service request online. Once a service request is submitted, it will be reviewed by a Customer Service Representative and you will be contacted to schedule a service appointment. Please note your login information was provided to you at possession.

Your Tannin Homeowner’s Guide provides you with all the information you need to live comfortably and safely in your new home. It includes maintenance tips and details about the construction of your home. We encourage you to spend time perusing this information, which is designed to help familiarize you with your new residence.

 

WARRANTY

 

Tannin's commitment to homeowners is long-lasting, and is guaranteed by the Travellers Home Warranty. The 2-5.10 year comprehensive third-party warranty is in accordance with the Homeowner Protection Act of British Columbia and includes a two-year material and labour warrantly, a five-year building envelope warranty and a ten-year structural warranty.

  • DO I NEED A REALTOR TO PURCHASE A TANNIN HOME?

    No, you do not need a realtor to purchase a Tannin home. Our sales representatives are highly trained and knowledgeable on each of our projects, and are available to assist you throughout your purchasing process.

  • AS A REALTOR, HOW DO I REGISTER MY CLIENTS?

    Your clients can register at each respective project website, ensuring they select ‘yes’ when asked “Are you working with a realtor?”. Once you visit the sales centre with your client, we will gather your contact information for our records.

  • WHAT OTHER COSTS SHOULD I CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING A HOME?

    Other costs to consider when purchasing a new home are:

     

    - HST

    - Property Transfer Tax

      (1% on the first $200,000, then 2% thereafter)

    - Legal fees (approximately $500)

    - Maintenance Fees (varies by project)

    - Property Taxes (varies by municipality)

  • SHOULD I BE PRE-QUALIFIED FOR MY MORTGAGE BEFORE I START LOOKING FOR A HOME?

    Yes, it is a good idea to be pre-qualified for a mortgage before purchasing your home. This process will help you determine the amount of money you can afford to spend on a new home. contact you bank or a local mortgage broker if you are interested in starting the process.   • HOW LONG WILL THE BUILDING PROCESS TAKE IF I BUY AT THE PRE-SELL STAGE?

    Each project’s construction timeline is dependant on many factors such as location, size of building, weather conditions, and construction methods (wood frame or concrete). Our sales representatives can provide these timelines to you at your request. Remember: the earlier you purchase, the more valuable your investment becomes once the project is complete.
